Since I am a big fan of Lord of the Rings and a player of the strategy tabletop game I visit www.one-ring.co.uk on a regular basis. Dargorlad who is running this site is famous for his excellent models he created for LotR. Eversince I am doing this hobby e.g. his Edoras walls inspired me a lot. Now he is running his own weblog containing really great models, too. You should definetly visit spodding, his blog for really strange wargaming and great scenery stuff.

This year I was quite busy with my marriage to a wonderful woman, with work and for sure painting miniatures and gaming. Therefore I worked less on Unfinished armies. I did not like the technic behind the scenes any more and recently changed it. I hope that the change will improve the amount of posts my me and guests here. Moreover I plan to post links and pictures of work I appreciate since there are not much blogs who do this among wargaming sites. I often read great articles and a simple link is not that time consuming. So you will find here soon more posts in the category "Great sites" or "Great articles".However the technic is currently not in an excellent condition, in the next days I will work on it from time to time.

Now I am very close to have a finished army, although this blog has a different name. The Fallschirmjägerpioniere will only be followed by one complete platoon and maybe another 6 flamethrower teams. For sure there is one single option more which could be added after I model a light mortar team which is the mountain gun platoon. The values were changed in North Africa so the Fallschirmjäger artillery is now an option worth painting. However I am very pleased with the performance of the heavy mortars. Adding another light mortar team, bearing in mind that the HQ has an option for light mortar teams too, this should be enough. Currently I was interested in having flamethrowers in the game since my club colleges often field tanks. The anti tank rating of pioneers sound very attractive, too. If I put an opel blitz truck from the various trucks I have on the table, I have a pioneer support truck, too.
