The Road to Messina: Silicy village buildings

Time is running: In order to test my designs for the village buildings I completed a group of three italian houses building a front. To get some mediterranean style there is some vines and flowers.

The complete structure is built from the scratch. I used styrofoam which is available in 4mm strength to build the walls. I cut the windows in it an structured them with a cutter and a modelling tool.

After that I added stucco with watered down plaster of paris with some additional sand in it. On this example it went somewhat crude. I think it is not bad but I want to get smoother with the next ones. Moreover I will reduce the sizes of doors and windows in order to fit scale and the mediterranean style which incorporates very small windows in order to avoid summers´s heat.
