My painting desk

Diomedes from the Sweetwater Forums wanted us to show our painting desks. I liked his idea and decided to write some about my attitude towards cleaned desks and give some tips.

First of all it is very important for me to have a quite big amout of disorder on my desk since I think that art or artificial work is very closely connected to chaos. In my opinion you should not have a tabula rasa in order to get ideas and inspiration.

On the picture you will find some details which I can really recommend to you:

I use a paint rack, which I obtained from Miniaturicon. Getting that thing together was a pain, but now I really love the rack since it spares a lot of hobby time since I do not search for paints any more at all!

Moreover I would like to recommend to paint the bottle caps of your paint with the paint which is inside. This is really simple and you will not search long for the desired colour.

A cutting mat is also a very helpful piece of equipment since usually you cut and drill a lot if you prepare scenery or models.

Daylight lamps are a must have and the ventilating system for the airbrush is very useful, too.

Now I am curious how other wargaming bloggers´desks look like.
