In order to follow Stu´s excellent Tutorial on weathering with Marmite I just got my own glass of Marmite in Germany. Read some comments on that funny painting equipment.

Today I went to a cute small shop in Frankfurt named http://www.a-taste-of-britain.de and bought my own glass of marmite. It was quite expensive - 5.99 Euros considering that it Marmite is just a bread spread. Nutella for instance, a hazelnut cream which is not beloved down under, is priced 2.50 Euros.

Stu´s excellent Tutorial on Weathering models with Marmite inspired me to buy that "Brotaufstrich" in order to cover my tank models with it.

After I bought it I was very curious how this bread spread acutally tastes. So I got a small spoon and tasted just a little bit, not more than a fingertip covered with it. The taste exploded in my mouth and left me very surprised and me college thought that I was acutally having a heart attack because I made such odd faces when tasting.

Now my dear readers from UK, New-Zealand or other Commenwealth countries I need another tutorial: How to prepare and eat a Marmite toast. I really want to know, how you can eat this! Maybe it´s Marmite which hardened the Commonwealth troops to stand the really hard conditions in Africa during WW2?

However I am sure there is hardly no better material for Stu´s weathering effect since Marmite has a very special sticky consistency.
