First two English knights
Since Ebob just released his new excellent heavy cavalry I painted two of my English cavalry models I already have in order to practise for the upcoming knight models.
My plan is to have two units consisting of 6 cavalry models, a banner bearer and a commanding knigth. One unit will consist of the cavalry models the other of heavy knight models.
I think I will add some small banners to the lances. One knight is a conversion, a simple head swap and a big shield from the scottish knight blister made them look more impressive.
The horses came out quite nice, I painted them like Shire Horses, the descendants of the medieval Great Horses or Destriers. Lemming was so kind to tell us about that origin, since he is a horse owner and enthusiast.
I used a somewhat smoother gradient to paint the horses. I am interested in your thoughts of the brown fur colour, just tell me if you like it.
The next step for Ebob miniatures will be to paint two of his new knights, I think I will coose the cool looking hand weapon options.
