Fallschirmjäger PAK 40 Platoon

Since my success with tank support was very limited, I decided to paint an effective PAK 40 platoon.

Whenever I supported my Fallschirmjäger with tanks, e.g. Panzer IV F2 or  Panzer III or even a tiger my success was very limited. Therefore I decided to paint an heavy PAK option for my ground opteration FJ.

This platoon is made of two PAK 40  blisters. Since there is a spare gun I could model a towed gun as well. Moreover I bought the special order Opel Blitz variants and added camonetting, converted seated infantry and ammonition. 

Since PAK were often used in prepared positions I decided to create bases with earthworks and one base with camonetting.

I added another picture of the Püppchenwerfer HQ option, which I painted with the platoon. Lemming told me, that the Püppchenwerfer is included in an Grenadier HQ Blister. Unfortunately I did not buy the company box and there is no FJ blister for this model.

This platoon is the start of a count down, since I plan only two other FJ platoon, then, my collection is completed. I do plan to paint a light mortar platoon and an assault Pioneer platoon with some more teams in oder to have a pioneer Platoon option, too.
