Fallschirmjäger Light Artillery Batterie
In order to give Artillery support to my Fallschirmjäger I painted a platoon of light artillery. The blister comes with two gun options therefore I used again magnets for fixing them on the base.
The 7,5cm Gebirgsgeschütz 36 is a really interesting looking model. The gun was very heavy in reality, 750 kg, therefore it was not dropped during air landing operations but landed in a glider.
Hopefully I will have soon some gliders for the Platoon since I am going to buy some from Armaments in Miniature. What won´t be very accurate is that I painted the troops for the italian theatre, which means, that the helmet cover and the Jumpsmock (Fliegerbluse) has Splintercamo (Splittertarnmuster). This combination was not worn during Kreta, which was the last major airborne operation.
My army painting scheme should work fine for some smaller airborne operations in Silicy and Tunesia.
The 7,5-cm-Leichtgeschütz 40 can replace the Gebirgsgeschütz easily since I did not glue them but used magnets to fix them on the base. These tiny magnets are 3mm in diameter and this is enough to hold the model upside down.
As I did for the MG Platoon this Platoon has modeled markers. For sure the move at the double marker shown is useless since the gun cannot chose that kind of movement, can it? I am not sure.
