Fallschirmjäger in cover
The first full platoon Fallschirmjäger is ready for gaming now. In order to model Italy I wanted to have some destroyed italian houses on the bases. Therefore I made some walls with Styrodur.

Some Black White photo fake

The whole Fallschirmjäger Platoon

Destroyed walls e.g. for Monte Cassino scenarios

Markings for differenciating the platoons

Detail shot with MG42, which should be added only for late war. I did not really care about this detail.
The platoon looks quite covered by the scenery on the bases. I will definetly only have that much scenery in that platoon leaving the others much simpler. I started to model that bases almost one and a half years ago.
In the meanwhile I think the bases should be a little bit simpler although it looks good. If there is a lot of nice scenery on the table it is nice to just have some details like bushes or small walls on the base. Sometimes the steps on the one base won´t fit e.g. if such a model is in the middle of a river.
However I am quite satisfied with the platoon. Once more I modeled markers with miniatures. I am not sure If I show you the same like last time but at least there are enough for all platoons to be pinned etc.
In order to differenciate the teams from the different platoons I painted the colors of the drop canister on the bases. 3 teams on the picture can be used in a 3rd. platoon since I will paint 18 Infantry teams and 3 command teams to play with either 3 Platoons with each 7 teams or 2 platoons with each 10 teams.
I mixed up several Battlefront Miniatures for this platoon. There are some of the old Fallschirmjäger, some battleworn Fallschirmjäger and some of the Fallschirmjägerpionier platoon. A mixture of all is a really good thing.
