Bavarian Expedition in Africa
Finally I finished my explorers for the our Darkest Africa pulp games.
From left to right: Franz Schmetterer (senior ranger), Willibald Hügel (hunting helpmate) and Baron Luitpold von Schneiding (adventurer, universal scientist and staff member of the Royal Bavarian Bureau for mysterious foreign affairs).
All three of them are true Bavarian patriots, loyal to the late king Ludwig II. The miniatures are from Copplestone. The Gamsbärte are made of greenstuff.
To show to the other explorers that they are Bavarians (and not to be shot accidentally because they are mistaken for Prussians by the British or French) they garnished their headgear with the traditional “Gamsbart” (tuft of hair from a chamois).
These are the first 28mm figs I painted in 5 years.
