Battlefront offers plastic tanks

What differs wargaming from playing with toys? Plastic. That provoking sentence came from Decebalus who prefers resin and white metal. Now Battlefront gives a preview of his plastic tanks. What should we expect?

On the pictures the new tanks really look good. The tracks and the weapons are plastic, the hull still is made of resin as far as I know. First I thought  this would be strange to have light weight tanks with a toy like weight. What I always loved on battlefront models was that they have a nice heavy weight.

Since the sprue contains many variations for that basic chassis platic sprues are obviously not that bad like I first thought. Conversions and modeling battle damage will be far more easy with plastic parts.

I am still a bit sceptical but for sure a sherman box could be a nice option for my british force for the italian theatre. I think I will have a look at the new parts and I will not condemn it without ever seen the material.

For sure the efforts of Battlefront to improve their product range are to be appreciated.
