Achtung Partisanen!

Thanks to Eureka Miniatures I have been able to start a FoW Soviet partisan force.

Hello!

I've started this post to give you an opportunity to witness the
development of my FoW Soviet partisan force, starting with its most
basic component - the partisan rifle team. While my partisan company
grows I will add new pictures.

From the moment Battlefront posted the Soviet Partisan Otryadi pdf I
knew I had to get and play partisans. My delight therefore knew no
bounds when I learned that Eureka Miniatures had released 15mm
partisans.

Fielding irregular guerrilla formations in a raid or even a set battle
is definitely a nice change from commanding those "ordinary" rank and
file troops. And it doesn't have to be a rather basic horde of civilians
with rifles, no sir! STAVKA supported the partisans by parachuting
personnel and equipment into the occupied territories. Among the
resources sent in were officers to train and lead the partisans,
Komissars to ensure the political reliability of the partisan groups,
radio operators to establish a communications network, machine-guns and
mortars to add fire power, elite commando platoons to fight alongside
the civilians and so on. Fielding a Soviet partisan force means
therefore to field comparatively well armed guerrillas with a lot of
nice FoW weapons and support choices.
